The Complete Truth About De-Evolution is a movie, written by Mark Mothersbaugh and Gerald Casale, and directed by Charles Statler, that contains commentaries and appearances by members of Devo. It contains all of their videos, clips from live appearances, and special features. These include:the videos for Secret Agent Man, Jocko Homo (Booji Boy version), Mechanical Man, Devo Corporate Anthem, Mongoloid, and the feature "A Word About Laser Discs". It was never shown in theatres, because it is only 10 minutes long. It inspired David Bowie to do a project with Devo, and won an award at the Ann Arbor Film Festival.
The film was meant to be a parody of science fiction. It contains the characters Booji Boy and General Boy. Booji Boy brings documents to General Boy that he received from Chinaman. These documents, in the context of the film, contained the truth about de-evolution.
